We invite you to join us as Israel Wayne offers timely, practical and biblically-based parenting advice that is sure to both encourage and challenge you, whether you are parenting tots or teens!

Israel Wayne is an internationally known speaker, author and homeschooling father of 11 children (age 2 - 23), with a strong desire to see God’s people learn to think and live Biblically. Whether helping parents to listen and ask better questions, navigating the balance between authority figure and life coach or drawing on biblical examples of how to motivate our children, Israel aims for both the head and the heart of his audience. While there are of course no guarantees in parenting, he believes that there are actionable steps that parents can take that can strengthen your child against unbelief and greatly improve their chances of remaining in the faith, in a culture that is increasingly hostile to Christian values.

What other Christian leaders say about Israel:

“Israel is the perfect mix of warrior and poet. He has an amazing mind for truth and apologetics and yet that uncanny knack for making everyone around him feel important and valued….” Eric Ludy

“Israel Wayne… is gifted in breaking down barriers and speaking the truth. After Israel speaks, it is amazing to see the fire ignited in fathers. [His] messages are powerful and freeing, especially to fathers who can now know they are not alone in this journey.”

Registration is required and includes a pizza and salad bar dinner (gluten free options available).

Please register by Wednesday, October 25th so that we can prepare. (click here to register)

Session Descriptions:

Transform Learning through the Art of Questions
Whether you are a parent, seeking to motivate your reluctant learner, or you desire to break through your own limitations, you will make more progress if you learn to listen better and ask the right questions (the right way!). Learn how you can help yourself (and others) recognize hidden assumptions, and overcome obstacles, through learning the art of asking questions.

Influence vs. Control
There is a careful tension that must be maintained between being your child’s authority figure and being their life coach. There is a necessary shift in approach that must take place as your children go through various stages of development. If this transition is not carefully managed, your parenting approach will likely backfire resulting in a lack of influence in your child’s life. Learn the proper balance in this important message.

Power of Affirmation
When you are trying to inspire and motivate children, there are two forces that are often exerted: Positive and Negative Reinforcement. In this session, Israel explains the importance of Affirmation as a way to inspire and motivate your reluctant child. Drawing from practical and Biblical examples, this session will help you to keep those important relational connections as you are attempting to impart knowledge

How to Keep Your Child in the Faith
Studies show that 70% of churched youth abandon the Christian faith sometime before high school graduation. While there are no guarantees in parenting, there are steps parents can take that have been proven through various studies to statistically improve the chances of your child embracing and remaining in the faith. Learn what actionable steps you can take to help strengthen your child against unbelief.
