Dear Homeschool Leaders,

The TEACH-CT Leadership Luncheon is an invitation-only event designed to encourage, equip, and build community among those involved in home education leadership, in CT or border towns.

As leaders, you pour so much of yourselves into serving your groups. Our desire is to come alongside and refill your cup for a change! One of the ways we do that is by inviting experienced Christian home education leaders from around the country, who understand the challenges leaders face, to provide much needed insight, inspiration, and biblically-sound advice to build your leadership toolbox.

We also understand that leadership can be lonely at times, so we provide ample opportunity for fellowship and networking with other leaders, some of whom may be facing some of the same challenges you are. We hope this fosters a stronger sense of community between groups, especially important should we need to come together, as we did this spring 2025, to protect our hard-won freedoms. We anticipate the same in the 2026 legislative session.

For the first time, we are inviting pastors to join us in exploring what it means to lead sacrificially for the sake of liberty, examine biblical approaches to educational poverty (what is that?) and exchange ideas on how churches can support homeschoolers - whether or not your church already does this. PLEASE INVITE YOUR PASTOR and have them email: with their name /church so we can add them to the invite list to register. Thank you!

Topics & Discussion Overview:

Group Spotlight: Please prepare to share a 1 minute biography of your group - location, size, focus and perhaps a highlight of the year or area of challenge. Anything which might help us know more about the group you lead and facilitate our interactions throughout the day.

Session #1: SERVANT LEADERSHIP: THE LOVE OF LIBERTY AND A CALL TO SACRIFICE: In this session, we will explore how leaders in the homeschool freedom movement are called to lead by choosing sacrifice today to preserve freedom tomorrow—to live as examples of servant leadership, where liberty is not simply protected, but advanced through vision, courage, practice, and love. Drawing from the legacy of those who chose what was hard today for the sake of loving their neighbor—both in the present and for future generations—we will consider how the love of liberty compels us to lead humbly, act courageously, and build for posterity.

Session #2 - STEPPING INTO THE GAP:

a) Biblical Approach to Educational Poverty
We all recognize material poverty—but what about educational poverty? What is it, how does it compare to other forms of poverty, and what biblical principles can guide us in addressing it? This session explores how Scripture’s teaching on poverty can help us respond faithfully and wisely in today’s age of educational poverty.

b) How Can Churches Support Homeschool Groups?
As homeschooling continues to grow, so do the number of churches that are beginning to open their doors to homeschool groups and activities. Beyond the obvious of allowing a co-op to meet at their church, are there more ways that pastors can offer to support homeschool groups and individual families in their community? Turns out there is! We’ll explore some creative ideas and best practices for providing holistic care to this growing demographic, both within the church body, and out in the wider community. Whether you are a pastor already meeting those needs, one who is just beginning to consider the possibility or a seasoned co-op leader, this is sure to be an interactive discussion.

Who is Invited?
Leaders, co-leaders and those being prepared for leadership of faith-based homeschool groups, in or near CT. This includes co-ops, informal groups, Facebook, tutorial, or hybrid groups. If in doubt whether a group or leader qualifies, please contact us at . While the content is distinctly Christian, any leader who wants to attend is welcome. If you know of a leader who may not be aware of this event, please feel free to share the link to this page.

As noted above, we are also opening the luncheon up to pastors this year, to explore how churches can support homeschooling in their church family and/or as an outreach to the community. This is for pastors already offering support, as well as those just considering that opportunity. Pastors have the option of attending the whole day, wives included free, or attending just the afternoon for free. In that case they should skip the registration form and email: with their name, church name, phone contact and how they heard about the luncheon.

The deadline is important so that we have time to get contact information into the program directory - thank you for registering promptly!
