"Homeschooling Works" Display

Formatting Guidelines

We need your help to continue expanding our “Homeschooling Works!” display for our annual Connecticut Home Educators Capitol Day, held each spring at the State Capitol.

WHY?  To show CT legislators that for the past 30+ years, hundreds of homeschooling families have successfully graduated accomplished, productive, thriving adults–WITHOUT ANY GOVERNMENT OVERSIGHT.  No need to change that now! You are the best proof that homeschooling works in the “real world”.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE?  Anyone who was homeschooled in Connecticut (for the majority of your education - you do NOT need to currently live in CT) and who wants to help keep homeschooling parent-directed and free from government control.

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

1) Send us a bio in the format below to with “Grad Bio” in the subject line.

Please use the following format for consistency (parents are welcome to submit information on behalf of their graduates with permission):

  • Name:
  • Town: (that you grew up in), CT
  • Date of homeschool graduation (optional)
  • Higher Education, training, scholarships if applicable
  • Career path, occupation or position, entrepreneurship - please be as specific as possible
  • Other (optional) - family, hobbies, ministry or volunteer work (please see sample bios below)

Need more guidance? Check out the samples provided in the sidebar. »

2) Include a headshot picture ( optional)

3) Collect short testimonies from employers, professors, colleagues and co-workers (signed with their name and title) that confirm that home education has prepared you well for life. Send the comments along with your bio. (optional)

4) Please invite other CT homeschooled grads to participate in this project!

We look forward to hearing from you! Thank you in advance for helping protect homeschool freedom in Connecticut.
