      Capitol Day Activities start - 10:00 am - 12:30 pm

We’re Doing It Again! Come join homeschool families from across the state for a day at Connecticut’s State Capitol during our 2020 CT Home Educator’s Capitol Day event. Our objective? To provide a presence, a handshake, and a word of thanks to our legislators, letting them know we appreciate the homeschooling freedom we enjoy in Connecticut!

  • MAKE AN APPOINTMENT to meet with your legislator in Room 310 on Capitol Day.



  • PREREGISTRATION - Capitol Day is a free event (as always) but knowing who is coming helps us make it even better! Thank you for your cooperation. Please REGISTER HERE and get free FAST FACTS TO KNOW

  • CHILDREN’S ACTIVITIES - Lots of fun, interactive activities going on to keep the younger set occupied while you visit: Children’s book reading by author Randy Coe, Revolutionary War reenactor, Children’s Corner puzzles/crafts/games/books and more…


  • Also stay tuned for family friendly activities and field trips immediately FOLLOWING Capitol Day!

10:00 - 10:45 Welcome and Guest speakers

10:45 - 12:30 Coffee and pastry reception, legislative “Meet & Greet” and personal appointments with your legislator in Room 310

11:00 - 12:30 Children’s activities ongoing in Rm 310


Self guided Capitol tours (including a scavenger hunt) and a number of field trip opportunities will be available immediately following Capitol Day. Stay tuned for more details…

*INSTRUCTIONS for making an appointment with your legislator(s) on Capitol Day*

There are two state legislators who represent you in Connecticut:

1) A CT House Representative

2) A State Senator

You can find out who they are and get their contact information HERE:



Call either or both (you will speak to their aide) and find out if they can meet briefly with you in Rm 310 on Capitol Day, between 11:00 am - 12:30 pm.

If there are others from your town coming, a group meeting may be more convenient.
