The 2017 Convention featured more than 75 workshops over the course of three days with speakers such as Jay Wile (Exploring Creation science curriculum), Sonya Shafer (Simply Charlotte Mason), Kim Kautzer (WriteShop), Sam Black (Covenant Eyes Internet), Linda Hobar (Mystery of History), Dr. Scott Turansky & Joanne Miller (National Center for Biblical Parenting), Jenna Elliott (tips on getting organized), Esther Wilkison (help for struggling learners), Bill Siegler (discipleship), Tom Clark (VideoText), Betsy Ray (homeschooling tips), and more.
The 2017 Teen Track was presented by Mike Snavely of Mission Imperative and Linda Hobar, author of the Mystery of History curriculum series. These dynamic speakers provided powerful sessions designed especially for homeschooled teens with an emphasis on developing a Christian worldview toward science, history and current events.

Teens explored “The Mystery of the Dinosaurs”, “Lost Secrets of the Ancient Civilizations”, and “The Horror of the Flood!” with Mike Snavely, former missionary kid in Africa and founder of Mission: Imperative — a ministry of teaching creation-oriented issues to young and old.

Linda Hobar, author of The Mystery of History
This track featured the workshops , “A Crash Course from Creation to Christ”, “What Tweens & Teens Should Know About WWI” and “Modern History that Shook the World!”, as Linda shared her love of history through masterful storytelling. A crowd favorite was “Bad Boys of the 20th Century”, which focuses on the rise of Lenin, Mussolini, Stalin, and Hitler.

This exciting program presented by Giant Cow Children’s Ministries provided a safe environment for children to experience Christ-centered drama, music, interactive memorization, kid comedy, life lessons and much more while mom and dad had the opportunity to attend workshop sessions and browse the Vendor Hall.
